Velma Dora, Padmanayaka Velama,Velama Naidu,Koppu Velama
Hello friends,
When people start talking about their caste, they all calim to selves to a specific caste and they feel proud to say about their ancesstors.
later, for example in my case- when a family was looking for amatch to their son, they were particulary intrested about their sub caste in their division.
Like a padmanayaka guy or a girl can only marry other padmanayaka, a velamafamily can make a matrimonial relation to other dora family. i how wonder how far this can be justified.
have a llok at these old posts on my Blog:
This is the main thing we look whne getting into a married relation

Padmanayaka velama are seen in some part, Velama East and South part or andhra pradesh.
Velama Dora and also know as RAO’s in central and telangana regions. Some our ancesstors were moved during their course of life to tamilnadu and karnataka…and are named as different caste. Does this mean that, they are no more our people…if the name of caste changes as per the rgion cant they be considered as our relatives.
Lets see how far this goes…and where it ends…..!!

Thank you very much for the information, which I have been looking for years. Because, there are may sub-sects of Naidus, like Gavara, Baliji, Kamma, etc. When I was told my father about my family name of Padma Velama Naidu, I wondered whether there is really any such sub-sect, since I did not hear from anybody in my walk of life about such sub-sect. Now, I am proud and happy to know the existence of Padma Velama Naidu through your web site. Thank you once again. Please post the important and useful information to me
